For those wishing to use Kent Works to organise placements linked to a vocational qualification and where students have an extended and more in depth experience of a particular industry sector. Placements are generally one day each week over the course of one term. In order for the placements to be successful for both student and employer, the school must take an active role in monitoring progress over the course of the placement.
This includes Standard Service plus:
- Individual interviews with students competing for a short list of work placements
- Liaison with employers to specify placement objectives and activities
- Organisation of pre-placement visit by student to agree placement activities
